Intro to ATS® - Taught by Victoria
Mondays from 6 to 7 at Free Flow (244 25th St. West)
Learn the basics of the American Tribal Style belly dance format from Victoria. ATS® is an improvised style of belly dance, characterized by high-energy fast moves and dramatic slow moves, all performed in a group format. Developing a strong understanding of the format will build your ability to: pick up choreographies in any style of belly dance, improvise, dance in a group, and play finger cymbals confidently. ATS® is also part of the foundation of tribal fusion, so learning ATS® will also help improve your knowledge of tribal fusion. This class will start your training in Fat Chance Belly Dance style ATS®, covering Level 1 movement repertoire, and branching out into Level 2 moves and concepts later in the year.
*Finger cymbals required.
